Flower Drum brings Vegetarian Chinese Thai Food to Adyar

Flower drum has been in our hit list for quite some time for its Vegetarian Chinese Thai Food.  Located in Egmore, it was just not forthcoming rather getting distracted to other restaurants once we hit heart of Chennai. Flower Drum opened their other restaurant at Namma Adyar near Aavin circle (above ICICI Bank).  We are thankful to Flower Drum and the Chennai food bloggers community to have made it possible to have a firsthand tasting session at this new establishment. First thing we noticed is the ambiance. Few tables were arranged to have a circular seating accommodating 6 people and more. This has always been an issue when we go as a family for get-togethers.

The menu was exhaustive with good varieties highlighting Paneer, Corn, baby corn and Mushroom.  For Tofu lovers, we had few items for you too. Now to the food we had –

Tasteation, Worthy Tasty Global Cuisine for Vegetarians

We are back on the restaurant journey and this time it is to a 2 month old restaurant Tasteation in Tharamani. It is strategically located In the Tharamani link road opposite TCS in Ramagiri extension. It is in the ground floor of Velacity, deluxe service apartments. This is a fresh breathe of air for pure vegetarians living in and around Tharamani as this place lacks a hep Global cuisine Vegetarian restaurant. So on a beautiful sunny day, we decided to check out this restaurant and its offerings. It is located on the lane that turns from the Taramani Velachery main road. Since the Restaurant is part of the service apartments, the entry to it is through the Service apartment entrance. The entrance is not a typical one and can be quite misleading but once inside, a nice restaurant unfolds in decor and presentation.

Taste Thai, Malaysian and Chinese at 3 Kingdoms Restaurant

3 Kingdoms, the new restaurant that serves three cuisines – Thai, Malaysian and Chinese, on Khader Nawaz Khan Road is the brainchild of Chandran Narayanan, who has a background in the telecom sector, and Joshua Clark from the IT background. Says Narayanan, “Both of us are foodies ourselves. We love to travel, eat and are passionate about good food. Suddenly, we found that the timing was right, everything just seemed to come together and we took the plunge.”
