As per the definition of WHO, “HEALTH” is a complete state of physical, mental and social well being and not just merely the absence of any disease or infirmity.
Ironically in this fast-paced era of globalization and automation of even the most minuscule tasks of our everyday lives, humans are “mentally evolving and physically devolving” at an exponential rate, which is alarming.
You might wonder what this has got to do with health…?
Read again! it is clear from the definition that holistic health is not just restricted to an individual but is all encompassing. This very fact brings me back nostalgic memories of my school days when in was a part of the N.S.S (National Service Scheme) and the motto was “NOT ME BUT YOU”
If not for this one macro nutrient, only god knows what else would the fitness industry would earn on, this nutrient is not only a basic building block of life but has also helped many in the fitness industry to build huge building blocks.
I think, you would have guessed it right by now on what we are going to talk about…?
Now that you have started working out (How to Make Fitness a Habit?)and you have also figured out what is going wrong with your diet, Fitness Talk – Breaking the Myths for True Fitness, if you are still not able to see those beautiful love handles vanish.
Hold on…! Don’t worry…! I’ve got something for you.
Let me acknowledge this, burning fat is not an easy task. It is like “Rama” beheading “Ravana” and he still pops up with a new head as though nothing had happened.
Similarly, you might be fed-up with all your sincere efforts and be upset about the result for no harm of yours.
Now that you’ve made fitness a habit the next big question is going to be what kind of diet should I follow. Which brings us to the fundamental question.
Why do we eat…?
We eat to survive. Now, such a simple thing has just gone over the roof with modern day diet fads pushing us to the brink and making us believe that whatever we’ve been eating so far is wrong and if not catered to something is going to go wrong. Brace yourself, nothing is going to go wrong.
Before starting any new method of dieting, we all miss out on figuring out what is so alarmingly wrong about our current eating habits which must be addressed to, there is no point in trying to write an answer without knowing what the question is. Now lets just have a look at the three most common dieting dialogues that keeps circulating and let us see what can be done about it.
The moment I saw the opportunity to blog about Evion, it was literally a travel that took me 20 years back in my life. Those were the times when we would feel excited when doctor prescribed supplements. It was a hectic period of professional work and highly demanding period of irregular working hours. The stress and strain led to severe menstrual cramps and also hair loss. It became so intense that we had to approach our family physician. I was advised nutritious balanced food, this advice has come to me so many times and I always found it tough to follow advice like a New Year resolution that never sustains. Knowing me too well, my doctor also added multivitamin tablets and Evion for 45 days in addition to the liberal advice of better time management. If you are not familiar with Evion, it is a Vitamin E supplement trusted and subscribed by doctors. It is such a household name that I know it for the past 30 years. Though Evion has so many benefits, I love #Evion because it makes my face acne free and also makes my hair lustrous, thick and lengthy. Not only my hair, my skin also benefits a lot from it. My skin is of a neutral tone and naturally dry so it tans easily. Skin that tans easily can benefit a lot with Vitamin E, so the supplement gave me protection from sun burns and saved me from patchy discolored face.
Ok…! Now before you scroll down any further let me hit the nail straight on its head. The very reason that you’ve opened this article is that just a fortnight into the New Year and you are already apprehensive about whether you’re going to get caught in a rut and do the same old act of giving up on your fitness goals and then wait again for another 300 days to pass by. Else if you are someone who has been hitting the gym regularly you may find this helpful with respect to redefining your goals and progressively break your own limits.
Now for most you, who are desperate about getting fit, unfortunately, you might tend to fail in your attempt towards getting fit and being healthier for no fault of yours, by falling into a vicious cycle where you have failed expectations leading to loss of hope thereby clinging back onto your old habits and then social pressure might push you to your limits where in you reluctantly force yourself to get started again and then the same cycle repeats again and again until the next new year.
The topic of this post is lifestyle. The idea behind this post came from my analysis of the lives of my grandmother, mother-in-law and in short, my earlier generation. What was clearly evident was the youthfulness of their skin, hair and eyes. We, the current generation, claiming to be intellectually wise age by looks with grey hair peeping in as early as mid 30s. We cannot deny the fact that stress and strain take a toll on our lives and our life has become much complex compared to yesteryears and the earlier generation. This change is seen more among women as they juggle between home, family and career.

Dawn breaks and our home is abuzz with ceremonial traditional Suprabatham so loud yet soothing such that everyone wakes up to it. Our beautiful home is lit with natural light entering through the traditional windows and the sun roof on the terracotta tiles. Our expansive home extends 3 divisions in length and the whole place is filled with pleasant incense. Getting up in the morning is refreshing and triggers a unique feeling of awakening in me. A walk to the backyard reveals the well cared for garden of guava, mango, neem, drumstick, coconut trees dotted with fragrant flower beds of jasmine, hibiscus, rose and many day and night flowers. It is a unique experience to see those buds waiting for the respective breaks to show up their lovely faces.
Moringa or Murungai is the new super food of 2016. Known as drumstick in English, its botanical name is Moringa Oleifera. Himalayas holds the best of nature and many herbs find its origin here, be it seabuck thorn, noni, goji berry, every product from this part of the world is unique in its own way. Moringa is also native of the Himalayan foothills. Whole world has realized the potential of moringa and we have farms in US specifically developed to cultivate moringa and capsules, powders, oils made of Moringa leaves are on hot sale.
Positive Vibes make this world what it is and helps us survive and believe in tomorrow while living today with confidence. We grew up learning to be positive and it has helped us tide through difficult times with the confidence that this too will pass and better times lie ahead. But Positive has a negative impact in all our minds in one case, being HIV positive. Still an area people refuse to talk about or acknowledge, I saw one of my friends suffering from AIDS die a silent death for no fault of hers. She led a humiliated, ostracized life shunned by family deprived of support, refusing help from friends and suffering all alone wishing for earlier death as a boon.
