23621649

Breaking Braydon  written by MK Harkins makes an absolutely interesting read that kept me hooked to the book throughout. Though the subject is a time tested one, his approach to the subject keeps us guessing and provides the required push to keep it reading till the end. This review is by our book reviewer, Saradha Sankar, an aspiring author.

Braydon Decker, the self-made playboy billionaire neither stays with a woman for more than 6 hours nor takes her home. His past has scarred him making him lose belief in beautiful girls. Then he meets Jain Parker.

Book Review : Enduring by Michelle Leigh – Sequel to Surviving Novel Reviewed Earlier

enduring

Enduring by Michelle Leigh is a sequel to Surviving novel we reviewed earlier.

Surviving ended with a cliffhanger, the last scene being Trace Alexander, Emma’s boyfriend alias her boss confessing his feelings for her in front of an unconscious Emma, shot in the stomach by her father as a punishment for leaving him.

This book is all about Trace’s efforts to save the woman he loves from the clutches of her father who was still at large having escaped after shooting her. It was interesting to see the ways Trace employs to keep her secure right from keeping her in his high security condo to hiring a personal bodyguard to protect her.

Chennai, of late is experiencing a boom in cycle sales. It is surprising as we are seeing a dip in the cost of petrol and in an ideal situation, it must be more of bikes and cars. Looking at the other side of it, seeing the traffic of Chennai, probably a cyclist finds it easy going to reach short destinations in lesser time. For the health and fitness, conscious people, it serves two purpose, travelling and also exercising without sparing time in the daily rigorous schedule. Chennai Focus saw many varieties of cycles in the cycle showrooms in Chennai, showing off their best with larger space and range.

Review of Satellite: Satellite Trilogy Part 1 by Lee Davidson

download (1)

This book is written for a young adult and has all the elements to make it interesting. ChennaiFocus thought it is more appropriate to have this book reviewed by a young adult. This review on the book is by a young adult Aeldra Brown.

I enjoyed Satellite: Satellite trilogy very much. This book, Part 1, is the story of a dead man, Grant Bradley who is still not able to digest the fact that he is in a place called Progression aka After death world, far away from his fiancée Tatum Jacoby. He is perplexed to learn that he is chosen before his birth by the scheduler to become a Satellite, whose job is to take care of a person living on earth and save them from the wrath of their own decisions.

Quilling, Scoobie Strings, Loom Bands and More

For those without a teenaged girl at home, these terms would not mean anything. It is very common to see mother folk sulking about the children not having the fun they used to have in their childhood days. But the fact is they too have their piece of fun and in the own way. The terms in the title are the activities they pursue which can be matched to the beads stringing and wire baskets we made during school and college days. A hobby that improved our concentration and motor skills and also a smooth introduction to arts and crafts.

The difference here is the activities pursued by us were general in nature, may be a purse, a desktop item or a wall hanging but these items help them to make ear rings, key chains, finger rings. It got personal you see. Do make your daughter a part of this group and for sure, she will get hooked on it.
