Forum mall, a key destination for shopaholics in Chennai is all ready to welcome Diwali in a grand scale.  Owing to its location and the plethora of options in lifestyle, fashion and food, it is a Goto place for most of us for shopping extravaganza.  Lifestyle stores known for its “multi-floor multi-brand under one roof” shopping experience has its presence here.  What we love about Lifestyle is the convenience of checking out various brands in one place.   Be it Ginger, Bossini, Code, Fame Forever, And, Vero Moda, Levis, Kraus on the western wear collection and Melange, Biba, W, Global Desi,  on the ethnic / fusion collection  (and the list goes on), we can find them here and so Lifestyle store is our first option for clothing shopping. We are an ethereal lot having our own perception of what suits us best and we are happy to get into Lifestyle as everyone of us has options.  On the occasion of Diwali, we checked out Lifestyle stores for us and here is what we saw –

Lifestyle’s women western collection is in the Ground floor of Forum mall. Under the western collection, special offers are on based on the brands and store wise there is a Rs.1200 GV if you shop for Rs. 5000/- or more redeemable on the next purchase.  Unlike the common perception that purchases is high end stores come with a costly price tag, we did see many in the under 1000 category.  Off shoulder sleeves seems to the in-trend wear this season and we could see them in the Essential Tees collection.  Notables in the sale were Denims from R. 699 onwards, Tees from Rs. 399 onwards, Kappa Jogger pants from Rs.899 onwards, Fame Forever Cardigans from Rs.799 onwards.  For people wary of the word ‘onwards’, we do have a good range of clothes on the specified rate.

Interestingly Ginger, Fame Forever, Code and Bossini are Lifestyle’s private labels catering to different social groups.  If you love mild sober western collection, do check out the Fame Forever collection.

Jazzy, partying  Uber generation has a good offering on the Ginger collection.

The mid range – not too bold and not too mild should check Code collections.

Now to the ethnic collection on the 2^nd floor agog with enthusiastic shoppers for Diwali. It is the seasonal Time for upping the Ethnic collection of our wardrobe.  What attracted us the most is the presence and balance of fusion and traditional wear brands.

Melange has come out with the traditional festive silk kurtas with astonishing work.

W brand has impressive collection but one more brand that stood out for us is the Fusion Beats. Ethnic yet modern, their collection was too good.

A big plus was the 3D jewelry embellishment print which was eye catchy and certainly the one to go for if you are looking for the special in your ethnic collections.

The other brand which caught our attention was Neerus.  Initially we were not too interested to check it out but then something caught our eye and we checked it out.  The surprise became even more when we saw the price of Rs. 790.
