Hearty Talk: Proud to say My #madeofgreat is the Person of the Century
This is going to be a blog on someone who left a lasting impression on me, someone who is #madeofgreat virtues and values to create that Wow factor in me. Turn around and today we see celebrities in real and make believe world with people adoring them. But not all appeal to everyone and that is the science of human mind. One just cannot follow or appreciate anyone without the IMPACT. Here is one person who has made it into many hearts and minds in his own way, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, an undeniable #madeofgreat man who preached and lived his life as an example. To everyone who shed tears on his death, he made an impact in their own way. He proved he is the man to follow in all his activities before death and after too. To me, he meant more than an icon, an irreparable loss of a fatherly figure, philosopher and guide.
It was a time in my life when everything seemed to go amiss and awry. Mere existence turned out to be a burden. It was easy to get into a depression and call the world a misery. My efforts to change were half hearted and were slowly losing its impact. In one of the routine acts of giving attendance to a talk in IIT Madras, I met him. Till then, to me, Dr. Kalam was a person behind Pokhran and a scientist, a Who’s Who person in the eminent personalities list of India. A source of inspiration and a person capable of influencing anyone with his honest and caring talk, it was not surprising that he created an impact on me. He said ‘Suffering is the essence of Success’. It was nothing new, it is something that we have encountered as a proverb right from our school days, ‘Failure is the first step to Success’ but when he said it, it was different. It gave me an instant connect and made me believe that there is someone who understands what suffering is all about and has experienced it, got over it to be standing here with success following him. Suddenly Dr. Kalam was no more a picture or someone I read in newspapers. He was in all everything in flesh and blood, reachable and a source of confidence that everyone would love to have in their life.
I began following Dr. Kalam and would never leave any of his talks and each one made me get better in life. This statement may sound simple but not in real life. Google Dr. Kalam and you will get pages and pages of his quotes. So here I want to write one of his famous quotes that made a great impact on me and would make sense to everyone–
If you fail, never give up because F.A.I.L. means “First Attempt In Learning”
End is not the end, if fact E.N.D. means “Effort Never Dies”
If you get No as an answer, remember N.O. means “Next Opportunity”
So Let’s be positive.
Dr. Kalam proved he is the person worth believing in and gave back much more to people who trusted him. He touched hearts with his sincerity and commitment to make a difference and bring about a change in their lives. To me, he has made my life worth living. Miss you Dearest Dr. Kalam.
