Chennai Focus had the pleasure of getting invited to the launch of Nioxin in Chennai, India. Chennai Bloggers were invited to the event and it was an all ladies meet. The Chennai launch was at Bounce Salon in Nungambakkam High Road, Ispahani centre.

There was a presentation of the product by the P&G Nioxin representative, Ms.Daisy who explained the concept behind the product. It was interesting to note that Nioxin was not aimed at instant gratification by cosmetic methods but was focused more towards improving the Scalp condition. Understandably the process of scalp revival is not an overnight process. To suit the various conditions of the scalp, there are 6 treatments available and is given based on consultation.

Nioxin is a Solution to Hair Thinning problems and its capability to address the issue lies on the underlying condition of the scalp. Dandruff, Lice, Vitamins deficiency can also be reasons for Hair Thinning and Nioxin should be taken up only after addressing these conditions.

We also had a brief discussion with Mr. Vikram Mohan, Owner of Bounce Salon and his practical approach to hair related problems were down to earth and created a sense of trust in his services.

Subsequently we moved to consultation where depending on the scalp condition, the Nioxin system to adopt was advised.  One interesting aspect of the consultation, Thanks to Mr.Nipun, there were no scary terms and confusing medical terminology. It was a simple and plain discussion in layman’s words.

To help absorption of the Nioxin system by the scalp there is a basic procedure, derma scrub that clears the scalp and opens out pores similar to a facial scrub. Scalp is also an extension of the face isn’t it says the experts here. It is an interesting insight indeed. Though the Nioxin system can be bought and used by us at home, the Derma scrub can be done only by experts. The reason is, the scrub is potent and can cause severe damage to the scalp and hair if not used properly.

The event was the first by BlogAdda in Chennai and it was nice meeting women bloggers from the city. It was more of a blogger family get together and special mention to Ankita(s) of BlogAdda who made us quite at home though we were all strangers to each other. Very few did know each other but it did not matter because in a couple of hours of interaction, we could all connect.  Hospitality was wonderful and we were served coffee and refreshments and we parted with a Nioxin System in hand to get the first hand experience on the product.
