Tamilnadu Tourism Inaugurates Chennai and around Pilgrimage Tours to Goddess Temples

Covering three significant Amman temples around Chennai, the tour is one of the 10 new tour programmes that were approved before the State Assembly, said a Tourism official.
Stating that pilgrims can visit the Kodiyidai Amman Temple, Vadivudai Amman Temple and Thiruvudai Amman Temple at Tirumullaivoyal, Tiruvottiyur and Melur respectively, the official added that the new tour package is a first-of-its-kind programme focusing on these three important temples.
TTDC is also conducting a one-day Amman temple tour that will cover popular temples in the Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts. Called the ‘Sakthi Tour’, the tour will cover eight Amman temples including the ones at Mangadu, Tiruverkadu and Tiruvottiyur. TTDC is also organising an annual bi-weekly five-day 108 Amman temple tour programme, which coincides with the ongoing Tamil month of Aadi.

The one-day tour, covers Thiruvudai Amman, Vadivudai Amman and Kodiyidai Amman temples.

I was given to understand that this Thiruvala Vindhai temple is 1 km away from Sthalasayana Perumal Temple in Mahapalipuram and is called as AadhiVaraha Perumal Temple.
